Tell us a fun fact about yourself

In 2014 I have spent six months in Tokyo (Japan). I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I got a chance to see beautiful places, and eat delicious food.

Tell us about your career journey so far

I completed a PhD in Maths, specifically studying shapes. After that, I moved on to work on communicating Maths, and showing people how beautiful and relevant

Maths is.

What was your favourite subject in school and why?

My favourite subject was Maths, especially Geometry I loved Maths because it made me think and solve problems. I was fascinated by how everything works and fits together. It felt magical to me.

What subjects/qualifications are useful in your role?

A background in Maths. A passion for Mathematics and STEM.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

I get a chance to be creative and design all kinds of fun activities. I can use a range of tools (at times I have even used lego, playing cards or balloons). I get to meet many people and share my enthusiasm.

What is a normal day in your role like?

What I love about my job is that every day is different. Some days I am in a school or a Science Festival running a workshop. Other days I study, explore and design activities. Other days I run training. Other days I organise and manage events.

Suggest an activity that could be done at home that illustrates an aspect of your work?
